Dear MES Families,

I know the word is out, however, I wanted to take a moment to share my news directly with you. I am retiring at the end of this school year.  Although, I have served the district as a seventh grade teacher at Wixon and Mattacheese, a tenth grade English teacher at DYHS, an instructional coach at Small, Wixon, Mattacheese, and DY, my time with you and your children as principal at M. E. Small has been the most rewarding. You are an extraordinary community and I hope that I have served you with the dedication you deserve.

I have relished every moment here. It has been my honor to devote my career to the students and families of Dennis and Yarmouth. Blessed with wise and witty colleagues, I could not be more grateful for this 33-year journey. 

My students are now my colleagues and the parents of my students—two gifts I never could have anticipated. They are reminders of the passing of time, and of my own moment to step aside. I am doing so with a full and grateful heart.
