Important Message from our Library

The library shelves in all of our schools are missing some of our favorite books! Please check backpacks, etc. for any overdue library books and return them ASAP. If your child no longer attends the school where the books belong, you can return them to any of our DY schools and we will get it to the right library. Thank you!

child has at school. by June 24th .

Summer Food Bag Program

"This summer, the food bag program will be offered to families who are interested and choose to sign up. The food is delivered to Dennis Yarmouth Intermediate Middle School. If your child is participating in ESY or Alphabest, and you would like to receive food bags, they can receive them during their time there. If your child is not participating in ESY or Alphabest but you are still interested in receiving food bags, you can pick up the food bags every other week in the morning at Dennis Yarmouth Intermediate Middle School (DYIMS) 286 Station Ave, South Yarmouth MA.

If you are interested please message on ParentSquare or email Emily Bassett, the school social worker at bassette@dy-regional.k12.ma.us with any other questions or concerns. Please make sure to note if your child is participating in ESY or Alphabest this summer."

New DYRSD Bus Transportation Request for the 2026–2027 School Year

The district has a new transportation request process for the 2026–2027 school year. Families must fill out a transportation form for each student to let us know if bus service is needed for next school year. Please login to ParentSquare to complete the form whether or not your student will ride the bus.
To make sure transportation is ready for the first day of school in September, forms must be turned in by June 25.
Forms turned in after June 25 may not be processed before school starts. Returning students who do not submit a form by the deadline will not automatically receive bus transportation. Families will need to submit a late request, which could cause a delay in service.
*Please note that this is for regular bus routes only, not specialized transportation.
Weekly reminders will be sent to families who have not yet completed the form.
If you have any questions or need any assistance please reach out to your child's school.
Thank you for your attention to this important deadline.

Cape Kids Meals-Weekend Meal Program

How it Works:
  1. Schools work with families to determine participation.
  2. Shelf stable food is purchased from the Greater Boston Food Band and other retail stores.
  3. Bags are packed weekly at one of Cape Kid Meals packing centers.
  4. CKM provides a bag filled with easy to prepare meals and snacks to help last them through the weekend.
  5. Bags are delivered to the schools each week.
  6. Bags are placed discreetly into a child’s backpack by school personnel before dismissal.
  7. The entire program is confidential-only the schools know who is participating.
